A nice forecast of the future that's somewhat close to 2022 is. But its how the rich people live, not the middle class and the poor.

Astonishing how accurate most of this projected scenario is. Computers controlling 80% of your daily living. Two missed predictions though.. the computer would be attached to your hand almost permanently disguised as a phone....and some 14 year old kid bringing all this coast to coast fun and leisure to a screeching halt, from his parents media room for yuks & grins.

I just got back from the beach in my 6 wheeled Ford. I drove past the head of the Statue of Liberty leftover from Charlton Heston and The Planet of the Apes.....No, No I didn't.....If you know who Wink Martindale is then you fail the Litmus Test for the Pop Culture obsolete like myself. I like food food machine, however I guess I will have to settle for tossing a Hot Pocket into the microwave. So, 1999 from a 1967 perspective and 2020 perspective. I think I will now head on over to Value Village or Goodwill and see if they have that cool food machine...

This is the worst possible scenario, and all of it is horribly, horribly true in 2020.

For me the highlight was the cocktail party at the end with Bobby Capo doing Piel Canela. just lovely.

... the ending cuts off before wink can answer.
wonder what the rest of the script says? bummer.
Love the velour Jetsons-wear on the guys, and the hooded muumuus too. I'm ordering an outfit like that on Amazon right now.....one click buy, place order...oh, I hear the drone already! Excuse me.

This is interesting, not just for what they got wrong, but because they got some things partially right. They predicted online shopping, email, watching videos, looking up the weather, and taking tests on computers. Their main issue was thinking it would be through a central house computer rather than personal computers.
Of course, they also make it so styles haven't changed since the 60s!

This film made a fuss last year and for good reason, for entertainingly predicting the future, mostly with computer technology. See Wink Martindale send email, do online banking, and his wife shops online! Funky! Interesting to compare the technology then with the actual technology of today. Anyone know who the singer is in the end?

Six months later on jan 1 2000. The computers become our overlords. But nice to see a young wink martindale and gary collins. The mom played alex spallding on the guideing light can't remember her name.
